Although summer is still a few months away, not is actually the perfect time to being preparing your pool for summer. After all, it’s never too early to to begin getting ready for summer, and taking care of your pool now ensures you’ll have a safe, clean, and cool way to beat the heat this summer.

As as a pool owner, you know that taking care of your pool is a year-round job. Even during the winter, it’s recommend that your pool water and chemistry levels are checked at least once a week. During the summer, it’s recommended to check them at least two to three times per week. Even if you go as little as two to three weeks without maintaining your pool, the water can turn green, and not because its envious of anything!

As such, now is an excellent time to stock up on vital swimming pool products such as sand filter sand, pool cleaning products, pool cleaning equipment, and other pool cleaning supplies. In addition, now it also a great time to ensure your pool’s pump is working properly.

Swimming pool pumps are an essential component of your pool’s overall system. Think of swimming pool pumps as the heart of your pool. They function in a similar fashion to your body’s heart by receiving water, filtering and heating it (if you have a heater) and then pumping it back into the pool. Without this system, your pool would be unusable. Therefore, it’s important to identify any potential problems now to ensure everything is in good working order.

Taking care of your pool can seem like an arduous task, however, if you stay on top of its maintenance, it really isn’t that bad at all. In the end, it’s well worth it!
