4 Ways to Make Your Pool Party Stand Out
Summer is here, and that means it is time to kick back by the pool, have a few drinks, maybe a burger and party.
Nothing is more American than a good old-fashioned pool party, but their very popularity can make it a fun challenge to plan one that is truly unique.
We’ve put together a few fast and dirty tips to help you plan the best pool party anyone has ever seen.
- Under Water Lights
Get some underwater lights in a number of different colors. Scatter the bottom of your pool with blue underwater led lights, or mix in some green underwater led lights to create unique patterns that will keep people talking. And don’t worry about the price, these little guys can last 100,00 hours! So even if you use them 8 hours a day, 7 days a week, your led underwater lights will still be kicking 34 years from now.
- Light Bites All Night
Who in their right mind is going to want a five-course meal while wearing their favorite one piece? When planning the food for your event, plan to have a number of light snacks like cheese, veggies, and other finger foods. The trick here, however, is to make sure you have enough to last the whole party. People will be abstaining from sating their hunger, and will probably need to snack to keep their hunger at bay.
- Provide the Basics
Have lots of sunscreen and plush towels on hand just in case someone forgets theirs — and let’s be honest, you’ve done this enough times that you know it will happen to at least one of your guest. Having these things available will prevent the awkwardness of them having to ask.
- Be a Little Shady
Even the most dedicated beach bum could use a break from the sun, so make sure to provide a bit of shade for your guests to cool down in. You don’t need to get too fancy, but a little break from the heat will be appreciated.
Pool parties are an important part of the Summer season, even the ones that aren’t particularly mind boggling or original. But if you follow our guide, yours will be the party to beat for a long time after.
